I can't figure out where to posts these...
I had recorded these a couple nights ago... since then Rick and I have talked and things have improved I was wondering what happened to them if Audioblogger just lost them somewhere -- part of me was relieved that it might have been lost...

I don't want to believe it blindly (question i posted)
Before I became a Christadelphian, I believed blindly a lot of what I was told...I feel that might be happening again unless I really search the scriptures about things like this. I keep hearing people talk about there will be a time of false peace in Israel before Christ returns, and I agree with it, but I don't know why so that's a dangerous place for me to be in...I am taking other's opinions for truth and that is NOT WHAT I WANT TO DO-- so can you please show me where in the Scripture this idea comes from?

this is more of what i was talking about
Romans 10
1 Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved.
2 For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge.
3 For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.

"Good people"
In our sphere of influence from our family and previous church members we met some people who agreed with what the Bible said but felt no need to change.... I remember struggling over the thought that did it mean God didn't hear my prayers before? what is going to change because I already feel I was doing what was right.... but ..
"Pro 16:25 There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof [are] the ways of death."
agreeing isn't enough...a change must take place
Mat 3:2 And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
Repent: or to change one's mind and actions....
verses rationalization...or making excuses
I like the definition: To devise self-satisfying but incorrect reasons for (one's behavior
but we all do that....
Rom 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
but there is hope...
Rom 4:8 Blessed [is] the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin.
and how does that happen?
"Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins"
But those around us most feel that they are already in a "saved" condition or that they don't want to admit that their baptism before wasn't sufficient... and I understand the struggle because I was most sincere when I was first baptized...however it doesn't matter how sincere you are if you are believing something that isn't true....that is a hard pill to swallow.... but admittingly, I hadn't studied the Bible much before- yeah I did some, but I leaned heavily on the interpretation of those "super christians" -- The BIBLE is the interpreter of itself-- by that I mean, if you read it, the explanation is there --- instead I was told about hell and heaven and the like and just assumed it was true becuase it was what I was always told... but even now my jaw drops when I read some verses and I shake my head at my own shame for not applying the time and open attitude before--- when I was baptized as a Christadelphian there was no "special" feeling as such--- but it was the beginning not the end of a life of obedience to God....
this is what is necessary to believe before baptism
Act 8:12 But when they believed Philip preaching the things concerning the kingdom of God, and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women.
before when I was baptized I made a "profession of faith" but what I believed about the kingdom and Christ were incorrect... I didn't know... my heart had good intentions but my knowledge was faulty... example.. a child might believe in Santa Claus ( I don't know where my example is going so apologies) but they might believe in that sort of thing because their parents told them about it - and spend a great deal of time writing a list or a letter to him sending requests for things they'd like to get -- they might change their behavior because the parent threaten the loss of their reward upon his return --- they might feel really enthused when they get their presents and the parents say it came from Santa so their faith in him grows each year .... the child really believes it exists-- and parents tell false things to them that seem impossible but the children still believe it--- until they know more....know better....
1Cr 13:11 When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.
2Ti 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
I don't know I was just wanting to say these things to offer encouragement to some and maybe to make people realize that this life is short...For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appeareth for a little time, and then vanishes away (James 4:14).
and on our own we are hopeless...
Jer 17:9 The heart [is] deceitful above all [things], and desperately wicked: who can know it?
but there is hope
1Jo 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us [our] sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.
1Jo 3:2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.
1Jo 3:3 And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.
